THE EQUINE EXPERIENCE

This is a NON-THERAPEUTIC PROGRAM designed for ages 11 - 16 years old. It is a full day summer program, Monday - Thursday, 9:30-2:30pm and focuses on "everything equine". Highly recommended for AaTs volunteers who want to increase their riding and horsemanship skills.

"The Equine Experience" includes a daily riding lesson (students divided by ability levels, beginner - advanced), equine science, pertinent readings, horsemanship clinics, and farm management skills. A variety of equine professionals visit the farm which may include a veterinarian, equine dentist, or farrier who demonstrate and share information about their careers. Hands-on learning comes to life!
