THERAPEUTIC EQUINE PROGRAM

Directed by Diana Kruzshak,

PATH Registered Instructor

The program is located at Sunset Hill Farm, 160 Sunset Hill Road, Redding, CT.

The therapeutic program is located in a separate barn and area of the farm away from the hustle and bustle of the farm lesson program.

The farm is adjacent to the beautiful Huntington State Park which has miles of beautiful trails for us to enjoy.

Private and group sessions (mounted or un-mounted) are offered. An assessment session must be completed prior to the first day of participation.

Please contact AaTs for more information and registration material.

Equine Assisted Therapy is open to children and adults with physical, cognitive, or emotional disabilities.

VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED. Please contact us if you are interested in training to become a volunteer assistant in this program.

The Equine Experience
(Non-Therapeutic Program)

This summer program is designed for our volunteers to increase their horsemanship knowledge, handling, and riding skills.

For kids ages 11 - 16 years.

Each exciting day of The Equine Experiencer is packed with everything "equine". In addition to a daily riding lesson, participants are involved learning about daily horse care and maintenance of saddle and bridle equipment.

Visits are scheduled with equine professionals such as the veterinarian, dentist, or farrier. Learn about equine related careers and the importance of regular health and hoof care!
